MDG uses a "village" system. We focus on aggregating high potential projects that will independently grow and realise the expectations of their owners and investors. This collection of projects creates a network of intellect, capability and wealth, supported by:
The MDG leadership team's networks, monitoring and guidance
Tech, marketing and financial support
Independent industry advisers
Successful performance improvement methods (strategic, operational and financial)
Substantial acquisition networks
Experienced, rigorous and disciplined investment practices
The village principle
McKenzie Digital Group invests in promising new projects in Australia and New Zealand. Early-stage investing is our thing - especially where thinkers and owners are confident in what they are doing but are a little unsure of the next big steps.
We love to back:
A technically capable owner, founder and team
Novelty potential in any industry sector
Proof of current investment and commitment to date
McKenzie Digital Group is currently the parent of several services, nestled in the digital out of home (DOOH) advertising industry.
McKenzie Digital Group has evolved over 10 years. We have ridden the highs and lows of a swiftly evolving industry, developed alliances with a network of key industry players, traded digital assets, established, and sold a sales and marketing business and developed a service and maintenance team. This experience has produced detailed industry intelligence that strongly positions us for capitalising on our next group of initiatives.
Currently there are three businesses in the group: Cherry Permits, Digital Panel Services and Jangaa.
Our portfolio management
Our investment team has significant local and international experience in lending, developing, acquiring, managing, improving and capitalising businesses across most sectors. Every opportunity identified by MDG is led through the investment process by one of our directors. Invariably it will be that person who remains externally involved with the business after investment.
Business review & performance improvement
Our team has significant strategic, financial and operational experience in leading, improving and growing organisations. The management team of a new MDG-vested project obtain the benefits of MDG via the director manager, experienced industry advisors and contacts. This mentored engagement enables the management team to suggest and implement improvements.
Our performance management framework is implanted into each business. It is a system that delivers to the owner team (and MDG) continuous performance data (marketing, operational & financial) to compare against strategy and the targets agreed with the owner/thinkers and their team.
Every business is exposed to a portion of market risk (operational, credit and liquidity). The MDG strategy of project definition, due diligence process, project support and director involvement and experience significantly reduce these risks.
McKenzie Digital Group structure
MDG capital is provided by its founders, sophisticated investors and individuals of high net worth. Some of our investors are shareholders in MDG, expecting returns in the form of dividends. Our expectation is an IRR of greater than 18%.
